Adopt a Kid

Many have heard of "Adopt a Grandparent."  What about the other way around?

Joseph adopted the most wonderful child earth has known.  What joy he experienced by taking this child and raising him as his son.  His child was perfect, but most children are not.

Most people will agree, despite children’s flaws, they are the most loving and caring people in our world.  Wouldn’t you like to be able to enjoy a portion of what Joseph experienced?

We would like to give you this opportunity to meet our children and let them get know people in their church family.  How do you get involved in the "Adopt a Kid Program" and what would be expected?  You only have to give your child a little love and attention each week.  Write them a note.  Give them a little treat now and then.  Let them sit with you occasionally at church.  In return they will give you smiles, hugs, and adoration.

We chose to start this program because so many of you wanted to meet and know our children better.  We thought this would be a great opportunity for you to get to know them in a one-on-one relationship.  They get to discover what we know in our hearts; that Woodlawn is a loving, caring family.  Please help us show this affirmation to them and allow an older Christian to influence their lives.

Pick up additional information about this program on the tables in the foyer.

For the Kids,
Kathy & Karen

Woodlawn,
We just want to thank you all so much for the cards, and constant prayers over the last 8 months.  It has been a real comfort knowing that we had you guys on my side.  I’m on the right track now.  I started a new medication to help with the M.S. and my heart test showed that everything is fine.  Thanks so much for lifting up me and my family.
With all our love,
Manuel and Brenda Gamboa
