The Future

What do you see when you look at our kids?  Enthusiasm, youth, energy, etc.  All these are characteristics in the children of Woodlawn, but what we see is the future.  We would like to share the future we see.

When we started as children's directors, what we prayed for was a close group of children.  We wanted full classrooms.  We wanted to help build up Woodlawn through increasing the number of children.  God is good.  He has obviously answered our prayers.  The number of children has increased and they are developing close friendships.  They learn more and more about God every time they come to church.  They have come to accept this family as their family.  Our children need this.  How are they going to face the future without God in their lives?  They need the influence of older Christians to show the values the world outside does not give them.

Seeds of God's love are planted daily and they grow stronger in our children.  Is this a bright future for them?  Yes, as long as they continue to have the loving support of their church family.

God has an eye out for our family.  He has increased our numbers through our children.  Can we reach out to the parents of these children?  Yes, we have an opportunity to grow by including all the families of our children into our church home.  Let's reach out to them and show the love you show their children.  Open your arms, Woodlawn, and embrace others as you have embraced our kids.  Our future will stay bright and promising if we do.

In him for the children,
Karen and Kathy
