Woodlawn Youth Ministry

Well it was a very busy summer and now many of the young people at our church have launched themselves into a new school year.  Remember to keep these students in your prayers as well as the many teachers that Woodlawn is blessed to have among its members.  Also remember to keep the Hilty's in your prayers as they begin the long process of relocating to the Northwest and establishing not just a home but also a new body of Christ in an area that has not had the chance to be part of a loving family of God.  While we are thinking of people to pray for be praying for your neighbors who are not part of a church.  Pray that they might come to be a part of God's family and that you might be one of the tools God uses to bring them into relationship with Him.  Lift up the sick and the grieving among us as well.  Keep in mind the lonely and seek out ways that you might be a blessing to them.  Above all, praise God for being a loving and true God.  May He send blessings upon this church like He has sent rain upon the thirsty ground in the past week!  May your week be a blessed one full of God's light and "prayers without ceasing."

In Him,
Brad Sullivan

PRAYER CONCERNS

John McCowan, Hendrick Rehab 2005.

Scott Proctor, Bob Proctor's son, is now at home.  His back is doing good.

Jennifer Smith Belknap had medical tests this past week.

THANK YOU NOTES

Thank you so much for the prayers and ivy plant.  I'm doing better then before.  I now only have one leaking heart valve and no blockage whereas before I had two leaking heart valves and some blockage.  God answers prayer in many different ways as I believe he did for me.
Martha Lee Hancock

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Thanks to each of you for your many acts of caring concern during my recuperation from a fall in April.  I appreciate each of your prayers, cards, calls, visits and food brought to me.  May God bless each of you in the way that you need -- you certainly have been a blessing to me.
Dr. R.L. Hobbs
