Advancing the Mission of God
We worship a very powerful and mighty God; there is no doubt about this. But even more so, we worship a "missional" God - one who takes creative pleasure in sending spokesmen (and spokeswomen) into areas of the world that have not yet experienced freedom in Christ. God delights in sending his messengers to people who are hurting, broken, and disenfranchised.
I praise God for the mission that he has given Woodlawn to be
A Family of Faith Committed to
Glorifying God,
Serving through Love,
and Sharing Christ with Our World.
God has blessed this congregation with bold messengers of the Gospel. People who are willing to listen to the call of God to go wherever it is that he sends them.
I thank God for the exciting example of our Woodlawn Youth Group who stepped out in faith on this year's Mission VBS to Rocksprings, Texas. Together with some committed sponsors, our teenagers demonstrated what it means to be sent by God and to live for his mission in the world. May we all take a lesson from the willingness of our Youth Group and ask God to send us where he wants us to go - whether distant or right here in our own neighborhood.
Yours for Him,
Dwayne

Each Child is His
Our Coins for Kidz campaign helps young mothers who choose adoption over abortion to find a Christian family to adopt her baby. The mothers we work with are choosing to give their babies the precious gift of life!
Through adoption and foster care, Christian Homes/Christian Services works to meet the needs of children -- the born and unborn.
