Announcements

Congratulations to Homer and Yvonne Lee on the birth of a great-granddaughter, Zion Hope, born Tuesday to Gabriel and Brenda (Idol) Menken (and big sister, Elizabeth) of Grand Prairie.  She weighed 7 lb., 14 oz., was 19 inches long and will be called "Hope."

Our August collection for the Medina Children's Home will not be food or juice this year; it will be Tall Kitchen Bags.  If you find them on sale, you might go ahead and get some.  We'll collect during August and their truck will pick it up here Sept. 7.

The Hillcrest congregation is hosting a Singles Retreat at Lake Cisco Christian Camp on Sept. 10-12, cost is $25.  You may get further information from the office.

The Christian Service Center needs both men and women volunteers to assist in the Bibles and Blue Jeans program on an hourly basis.  Additional information in the office.

The congregation received an invitation to a 90th birthday celebration on Aug. 1, for a former member, Duane Knapp (on the bulletin board across from the office.)  The address to send cards is: 4607 6th Ave. Vienna, WV 26105

Surely, there are two more families in this congregation willing to take a Christian Homes Change Can and drop in coins before September.  The last 2 are on the small table in the corner of the foyer.  Please take one, sign your name and make that can clink.  You can even pass it around in your Bible class.  Everyone has pocket change they'd share on Sunday morning if you'll get the can there.  Think about it!
