Summer Sermon & Bible Class Series

Summer Sermon & Bible Class Series
As you know, we are blessed at Woodlawn to have Sonny and Eunice Guild as a part of our family.  Not only does Sonny consistently proclaim God's word, but both of them are active in spreading the Gospel here in Abilene and across the globe.  We pray God's blessing on them as they are away.

In Sonny's absence, the next six weeks will include a variety of speakers proclaiming God's word:

  • Sunday, July 4 - Dwayne Hilty
  • Sunday, July 11 - Glenn Bailey
  • Sunday, July 18 - Dwayne Hilty & Gary Mabry
  • Sunday, July 25 - Dwayne Hilty
  • Sunday, August 1 - Bill Spann
  • Sunday, August 8 - Brad Sullivan

Also, our Wednesday night Bible class schedule will include a little variety as all the Adult Bible Classes meet together in the Large Auditorium.  Beginning July 7, we'll be studying the Beatitudes of Matthew 5 with the following schedule:

  • Wednesday, July 7 - Dwayne Hilty
  • Wednesday, July 14 - Farrell Stephens
  • Wednesday, July 21 - Dwayne Hilty
  • Wednesday, July 28 - Jaryl Young
  • Wednesday, August 4 - Brian Castleberry
  • Wednesday, August 11 - Bill Spann
  • Wednesday, August 18 - Chad Longley
  • Wednesday, August 25 - Glenn Bailey

We're all about family!  Please support Coins for Kidz by filling 1 or 2 cans with your change!  Already this year, over 20 babies have been blessed with a Christian adoptive family.

THANK YOU NOTES

Dear Woodlawn family,
Hey there, y'all.  I just wanted to say a quick "thanks" for all your love and support.  It has been a blessing to be at Woodlawn!  Thanks also for being a part of helping me get to Honduras for these coming years.  I request your continued prayer support, and I'll be in touch from Honduras.
Love, Theron Guild (Que Dios les bendiga.)

Dear Woodlawn Ladies,
I just wanted to drop everyone a quick note to say I truly miss all of you and your hugs.  We have not moved into our home yet, but we need your prayers.  Please give someone a hug from me today and tell them, "I miss you and I love you."  I miss my hugs the most.  They strengthen me in moving forward to grow in Christ.  Stay sweet!
Love, Paula Woods

Our thanks to Florence Henderson for donating the crocheted dishrags!  All were taken, so there is now more in the camp fund!!

There will be a Deacon's Meeting next Sunday afternoon at 3:30.

Next Sunday we will honor Rhett & Tina Herron and children who are moving to Waco where he will attend Baylor and she will work on a nursing degree.  We will have refreshments and present them with a money tree in the Fellowship Hall after our evening worship service.  Please give your money tree gifts to Abby or Barbara.

NOTICE:
Beginning next Sunday, July 11, evening services will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 5 p.m.  There will not always be a meal.  If you would like to take the responsibility for planning a meal and cleaning up afterwards on any given Sunday evening, just call the office before Friday two weeks ahead, so it can be announced.
