Woodlawn Involvement Ministry

As you are probably well aware, June at Woodlawn is an exciting month!  In fact, it's so exciting that I could think of nothing better than to use my bulletin space to share with you some amazing ways God will be working over the next few months:

  • Wild West VBS from June 13-16.  Very soon, our walls will be filled with kids, kids, and more kids!  Not only have Karen & Kathy planned a fun-filled week of learning about Jesus for the kids, but this year we have a special class for adults as well.  The class is designed specifically for non-Christian parents (but we would love to have you, too) and will deal with practical matters of family life and relationships.
  • Summer Preaching Series.  Sonny leaves very big shoes to fill in preaching God's word.  But we'll do our best.  While he & Eunice are in Africa for 7 weeks this summer, here is the present schedule:
  • June 27 - "Big" Don Williams
  • July 4 - Dwayne Hilty
  • July 11 - Glenn Bailey
  • July 18 - Dwayne Hilty
  • July 25 - Dwayne Hilty
  • August 1 - Bill Spann
  • August 8 - Brad Sullivan
  • Summer Bible Class Series.  I hope you take advantage of the Bible classes being offered.  Today (June 6) through August 29, the adult classes are studying 2 Corinthians.  On Wednesday nights - July & August - the adult classes will all combine for a special series on the Beatitudes in Matthew 5:1-12.

Your Partner in the Gospel,
Dwayne
