Woodlawn Youth Ministry

What a pleasure it is to be part of a church that cares so much for its young people!  The Woodlawn Youth Group would like to thank you again for all the ways that you as a church body support and encourage our young people.  The ovations that our LTC participants received Sunday night, the cards and phone calls from both the Monday Night for the Master participants and the college students show how highly you value both the young and the young at heart.  Many churches have youth groups, but it is clear that Woodlawn as a church truly desires to have its young people be a part of the body life of this congregation.

Speaking of young people, I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a Wednesday night service more than this past week's!  The singing was excellent, the artwork was tremendous and the closing prayer brought tears of joy to my eyes.  Take time this Sunday to approach the Children's Ministry workers and tell them what a great job they are doing.

This church has taken the words of Jesus to heart when he said, "Let the little children come to me."  Hearts and hands both young and old worshipping and working together to the glory of God - what an exciting time to be at Woodlawn!

In Him,
Brad Sullivan

THANK YOU NOTES

Woodlawn Church,
My heart was touched when I was made aware of the church's gift of the beautiful pink glads and pink carnation spray for my mother's memorial service.  Your compassion and care were a treasure from God as you model Him.
I was touched even more when members sent cards and made personal calls.  I am grateful to God that He allowed me to spend the last 18 months daily with mother.  I did not want to be anywhere else.  I could never repay her for all she did for me.
No matter what her age, it is difficult to lose someone so precious.  It is hard not to be selfish.  Next to Jesus, no one is more special to me.  Thanks again for being so loving in my difficult hours.
With deepest appreciation, Don Williams

Thanks so very much to each of you who sent birthday cards to Jeanette for her 40th birthday.  She was totally surprised and thrilled with the many, many cards that she received...much more than 40!  Thanks for making her birthday extra special.
Jo Ann Bowles

Our Woodlawn Family,
We are humbled and so grateful for the loving support given our family during the recent illness and death of Barbara's mother, Wylene Norman.  All the many expressions of love are so deeply appreciated, and your help has made this time much easier to bear.  We pray God's richest blessings on you!
