Remember Your Manners!
Most of us remember being given this admonition by our parents - some of us on several occasions! Even now "remember your manners" is good advice for all of us, young and not-so-young. In recent months, our Sunday Luncheons have become somewhat chaotic and disorderly, so much so that many of those responsible for the luncheon have become discouraged.
Sunday Luncheons or "Pot Lucks" were begun many years ago at Woodlawn to serve two primary purposes. FIRST - to serve as an outreach to visitors and guests to our services. SECOND - to serve as a means of fellowship for members to get to know each other better. These are both very worthwhile reasons for this program.
To help accomplish these goals we ask that these simple rules be observed:
- Bring food for your family and one or two visitors.
- EVERYONE wait until after the welcome and prayer have been offered to start filling plates, and show reverence and respect during the prayer.
- Make our guests feel welcome and allow them to go through the line first.
- Everyone who is able help with clean-up. This applies to teens and young members who need to feel the responsibility of being part of the church.
We hope everyone will embrace these ideas and make our Sunday Luncheons true "Love Feasts." "Let's remember our manners."

THANK YOU NOTES
Thanks to all of you for your prayers when I was home with Bell's Palsey. They were definitely answered because I am able to be out already! Also thanks to Hazel, Erlene, Carol and Beth for bringing me communion.
In Christian love, Pat Edmondson
The family of Juanita Sartor acknowledges with grateful appreciation your kind expression of sympathy.
A BIG THANKS to Betty Kennamer for generously donating $1000 for the ceramic tile and materials in the Fellowship Hall and to Kern Crisman for donating his labor to lay the tile. (Normal cost to lay the tile would have been $1,175.) Thanks also to John Fort for help with tearing-out and surface preparation, and to Bart Crisman and Bill Flatt as helpers.
