VALENTINE'S DAY

Did you find evidence of love on Valentine's Day?  I hope that you did.  That particular holiday is one opportunity to say "I Love You."

My question is, "What about the rest of the year?"  It is nice to have a special day, but hopefully there is evidence of love throughout the year.  Such evidence may not be as extravagant as red roses, chocolate, jewelry, or whatever.  Lest we get our priorities all messed up, remember that the little, daily evidences of love may be worth more than a Valentine's Day present.  A smile, an "I love you," a hand held, kind words, a walk together, a neck rub, a thoughtful act of kindness, a pat on the back, a hug, genuine appreciation, etc.  The ordinary expressions of love are worth a lot.  In every day we have opportunities to say/show "I love you."  I hope you didn't forget Valentine's Day, but I also hope you don't forget the everyday opportunities as well.

As Christians we have evidence of our Father's love every day.  Isn't it wonderful that we have his care each day and that it isn't shown only one day a year!

Sonny

Dear Woodlawn,
Thank you so much for all your cards and phone calls!  Your prayers have greatly helped our family.  It's so comforting to know that we have such a wonderful church family.  Thank you again for everything!  All our love,
Rhett & Tina Herron

We thank the members of Woodlawn Church of Christ for all the care, concern and prayers shown to our family during this very sad time.  And to the singers: the songs were so beautiful and they added so much to the service.  We appreciate it so much.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a Farewell Party TONIGHT following services for two of our young families.  Kinney & Theressa Mabry (Ethan & Collin) are moving to Round Rock, TX the end of this week.  Kern and Mandy Crisman (& James) will be moving to Altus, OK in the next two weeks.  We hate to see them go!  Please sign their Bibles on the table in the foyer this morning or this evening.

During the week of ACU lectureship, Bible classes for Wednesday, Feb. 25, will be cancelled.  Typically there is a devotional at the building, but there will be no devotional without your help.  So if you are not attending the lecture and would be willing to organize and/or lead a devotional, please contact the church office.

Plan ahead for Fifth Sunday Supper 'N Song on Feb. 29 after evening services.

Young couples & young marrieds
Please remember that on Wednesday nights there is a class designed specifically for you: Nurturing the Christian Family.  This week's class will be looking at the topic of "Building Blocks: Committing to Your Family."  We hope to see you there at 7:00 p.m. in Room 3-4 (childcare provided is provided in the nursery).

New Tuesday Night Life Group
Looking for an opportunity to invite your non-Christian friends to study God's word in a comfortable setting?  Come every Tuesday night to the Hilty's (1434 Rosewood Dr., 672-5679) for prayer, singing, and time in God's word.  Things get started at 6:30 p.m. and there is always desert afterwards.  Contact Dwayne Hilty if you have any questions.
