WOODLAWN CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Unconditional Love
A child is blessed with the ability to love unconditionally. Children are willing to share their love in so many ways. Let's look at a few examples. In the old testament a young girl lovingly watched her baby brother from the reeds of the Nile. Another young servant girl told her master about a prophet who would cure his illness. In the New Testament a boy unselfishly gave up his lunch to a crowd of 5000.
The greatest child in the Bible is the one who was born in a manger and walked the roads of Galilee until his final journey to the cross. He shows unconditional love today.
Let us remember to return His love. A child does not give us a hug expecting something in return. As His children we need to have that same kind of love. Remember the words of Zach, a young boy who prayed in our classroom at Woodlawn. "Thank you for this day, and I love you God, thank you for my family and I love you God, thank you for my teacher, and I love you God." Zach always ended every sentence in "I love you God."
Have you shown God how much you love Him?
In Him for the Children,
Kathy & Karen
