Worship
If you are
visiting Woodlawn for the first time, you are our welcomed
guest. Our worship assemblies strive to praise and honor God
and His Son Jesus Christ for the work of salvation offered
to the world through obedience of the Gospel of Christ. We
encourage you to come again and worship with us as we participate
together in singing, praying, partaking of the Lord’s
Supper, giving, and hearing the proclamation of God’s
Word by Dr. Sonny Guild. We hope that you will give us an
opportunity to visit with you after services.
Woodlawn
Orientation
Woodlawn
orientation is a basic discussion to what we believe and how
things work at Woodlawn. This class is intended for people
interested in becoming a Christian, new members, and prospective
members and is offered periodically throughout the year. Just
check for the dates and times in one of our weekly bulletins
or call the church office.
Find
Your Ministry
At Woodlawn,
we are convinced that God has gifted everyone in unique ways
for the purpose of service. A great way to grow in your service
with the mission of Woodlawn is to be involved in one of our
many ministries. Some of our ministries require only small
amounts of time, while others need greater commitments. We
encourage you to get involved in one of several ministries
that are a part of Woodlawn. Our Involvement Minister, Mike
Bailey, will be happy to help you facilitate your calling
of service by matching you with one of our Woodlawn ministry
leaders.
Woodlawn
Activities
There are many activities for you to become involved in at
Woodlawn, and we hope you will be involved in some of them.
Our activities include fellowship meals, various trips, visitations,
as well as prayer time. These activities are designed for
specific life-stages such as youth, college, young adults,
young married, middle-aged, retired, etc.
Personal
Worship and Giving
We believe that you should be living your faith even when
not gathered together in public assembly. We encourage everyone
to spend time daily in scripture and in prayer. Our worship
assemblies are greatly enhanced when filled with people who
have been developing their spiritual relationships with God
all week. What you have to give and who you are is a gift
from God, and should be an encouragement for giving of yourselves
in the form of your time and money. Romans 12:1, 2 tells us
that giving of ourselves as a daily sacrifice is our spiritual
act of worship. If you have any questions or need help in
this area, please let us know.
If You Need Help, Let Us Know
We want you to know that Woodlawn always strives to have your
best interest at heart. Even when we do our very best, sometimes
people may not receive all the help or attention needed to
grow in their relationship with God. If you have questions
about anything, please let us know. We want your transition
into the Woodlawn family to be a joyful experience filled
with the hope that we all share in Christ.
