Our Talents

Matthew 7:9-11 talks about what we give our children and how much more God, our father gives us.  God blesses his children in so many ways.  He has given us talents that are so varied among us.  We have been blessed with a talent of teaching where others have talents of nurturing, building, horticulture, and many other areas.

God blesses our children, even at a young age they exhibit marvelous talents.  Recently our kids used their talents of singing to share the joy of God with others at Windcrest.  The kids enjoy singing and by using this talent others were thrilled and amazed with their voices.  Our kids have other talents.  Brooklyn and Kayla have the talents of acting.  Lauren, Courtney, Javier, Nick, Keegan, Tori, Daniel, Alfredo, Maggie, Alex, Katie, Ali, Abby and Bailey have talents for athletics.  Others show talents in groups such as Bible Bowl: Emma, Claire, Kayla, Stormy, and Gabby are a strong unit representing Woodlawn.  Our kids show talent in their schoolwork: Maggie and Brianna were picked to spend a week at a science camp and Courtney’s team is going to the state championship.

Look at these talents and blessings God gives our children.  We are so proud of their accomplishments and the many more gifts God has given them that they will discover in the future.  Let us not forget the gifts God has given us.  The world will give us evil and we might fail to return good to others, but God will not forsake us.  He will be with us and he wants us to use his gifts to show his glory.  Remember what ever your talent you show or task you set out to do, may it glorify God and show the world we are his children.

Your fellow sisters in Christ,
Karen and Kathy
