Woodlawn “Trunk or Treat”

On October 31st 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. there will be a community contact event in the midst of traditional activities happening around our neighborhood.  Your participation and contribution is greatly needed to help us make a visible presence and impact during this special event.

NEEDED:

  • Lots, and Lots of candy, treats, etc. for distribution to neighborhood children and families as we get the opportunity to meet and greet them passing through our parking lot.
  • Willing people to be present with their vehicles to receive visitors, meet, greet, and distribute candy, treats, etc.

    We will be set up in the parking lot to make ourselves known and to be available to the community as a congregation that desires to connect with those we desire to reach in the way we are called.  There will be hot dogs for participants and visitors with an opportunity to fellowship with one another while we join in this outreach effort.  Plan to be there, but for now, just keep bringing the “goodies”.

    THERE WAS A HUGE RESPONSE LAST YEAR;
    WE EXPECT THE SAME OR BETTER THIS YEAR
    .

    THANK YOU NOTES

    Dear Ladies at Woodlawn,
    Thank you so much for helping the Women for ACU conduct another very successful Pie Sale as a part of the Fall Lectureship, September 17-20th.  The crowds weren’t as large as they were in February and yet we managed to sell every pie, plus we also received some generous contributions from those that chose to give money instead of baking pies.  The total amount of money raised was $5,144.49.
    This successful venture has allowed WACU to continue to give scholarships to deserving young women and men. Your contribution was a part of that success.  God’s riches blessings, and remember we won’t call on you again until next September.
    Sincerely, Hazel Fillmon

    Thank you to everyone for the cards, calls and prayers said on my behalf while I was having problems with my teeth.  Your care really means a lot to me.
    Betty Walker

    To the Ladies of Woodlawn Church of Christ,
    Thank you so much for all the encouraging cards and mail that I have been receiving from you.  Your kindness and thoughtfulness has touched my heart.  May God bless all of you.
    Your sister in Christ, Anita Isbell
