2003 THANKSGIVING FOOD, COAT, & BLANKET DRIVE

Your service and generosity are much appreciated!  Because of our efforts together as a body, piles and piles of food have already been collected and divided into boxes for families.

What is left to be done?  We need everyone's help in distributing food, coats, and blankets from 2:00-4:00 p.m. this afternoon.  Specifically, we need people at the church to greet individuals and families, help find correct coat sizes, carry food boxes to cars, deliver food boxes to homes, and to be available to talk with anyone about their spiritual needs.

Thank you, once again, for showing your faith with Christ's love in your giving.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The elders thank you for your cooperation in continuing to sit in the front half of the auditorium for our assemblies.

The church offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.  Any information for the Nov. 30 bulletin must be to the office no later than noon, Wednesday, Nov. 26.  Please notice other schedule changes for this week in the "What's Happening" section.

Ladies, Reserve Jan 30-31 for a special treat - or REtreat!

Lisa Williams will take over the tabs/can salvage service beginning in January.  So you may continue to bring aluminum cans and tabs which will benefit Ronald McDonald House in Ft. Worth.

The Wednesday announcements had a schedule of holiday changes.  One was wrong!  The Ladies Wednesday morning Bible Class will meet twice more in 2003, December 3 and 10.  Then we'll take a break until Jan. 7, 2004.

Farewells are hard: Today is the last Sunday for our brother, MSgt. Zelmon Woods, Sr. (better known as Woody), to worship with us for awhile.  He will be leaving Saturday for another few months of service in Korea.  Woody, we love you and pray for you as you travel and serve overseas!  "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."

THANK YOU NOTES

To our dear Woodlawn family,
Your many "expressions of love" through hospital visits, phone calls, cards, flowers and, most importantly, prayers!  are so appreciated.  Giving us strength by being surrounded with Christ's love has made things so much easier to bear.
God bless you richly,
Carol and Raymond Hall

Dear Woodlawn Ladies,
Thank you for your generous contributions of pecans, money, and work for our booth at Christmas in November.  The booth made a total of $1,097.66 to give to Christian Homes!
Joy Nunnally

Many folks helped with the Food Drive this year.  But we want to extend a "special thank you" to Julie Hilty for her organizational skills and the hours she gave keeping inventory, writing donation appeal letters, sorting, making lists, purchasing, and taking care of the details that made it a success.  THANKS!
