Why Worry

We're in the middle of the semester, for those of you that live by semesters, and you may feel like everything is caving in on you.  Student, and many of you who are former students, know that the middle of the semester can be one of the toughest times in one's school career.  Papers are due, midterms are being giving, and projects will soon need to be finished, and it seems like there is nothing you can do about it.  Sometimes we feel the same way in our spiritual walk with Jesus.  Things need to be done for certain people, the Bible needs to be read, and making time for God each day almost seems impossible with a busy schedule.

I'll be honest - this occurs in my life often, and I have an attitude of worrying about things.  I know many of you that are reading this are thinking, "That's exactly how I feel!"  I don't have the answer, but I know one man who does, Jesus Christ.  We read from the Sermon on the Mount that Jesus calls us to "not worry about your life."  He has richly blessed us with talents and abilities, and it is our duty to use them to their fullest.

All I can say to you today is to do you best and allow God to work in your life.  Don't worry that you need to make time for God each day - just do it!  I encourage you to reflect on the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, 6:25-34. May the Lord bless you with peace today!

Because of Christ,
Elijah
