SONNY SIDE UP

Outsiders Need Love
Have you ever felt like an outsider?  That feeling comes in many shapes and colors.  Not making the team.  Losing a friendship.  Not knowing the language.  Lost in a big crowd.  Your skin color seems to make a difference to people.  Excluded from the "in-crowd."  In our past we have all felt the pain of being on the outside, somewhere, sometime, to some degree.

Remember how much you wanted acceptance, acknowledgement, love?  By remembering our past we begin to be able to connect with our world.  So many are disconnected from meaningful relationships.  Whether they know it or not, people need relationships.  Of course, the most important relationship they need is with God through Christ.

When you felt lost, on the outside, remember how desperately you wanted someone to take a step toward you?  Our world waits.  Will Christians take a step toward those who are lost?  Our God is the great initiator.  May we be like him and take the first step to reach out to our world.  Friends Day is Coming!

Sonny Guild,
Minister

Dear Woodlawn Family,
How many precious memories I have of you.  I will always be thankful that God allowed Pat and me to share the Lord’s work with you.  In trying to express my gratitude for all the many blessings you have brought to our lives over the years, my words seem very inadequate.  The many cards and calls received from you during Pat’s illness encouraged us greatly.  Knowing you were praying for us was a great comfort.  I treasure the letter I received from the elders sharing their thoughts about Pat’s work and the legacy he left.  Thank you for the check to help with expenses.  Thank you for being such wonderful friends.
With love,
Tysene Stephenson
