Woodlawn Youth Ministry

The Summer Is Upon Us...and what an exciting summer it is going to be!  The teenagers are finally out of school and ready for a break.  There are many things going on this summer, and I know that the Lord is going to be working in the life of each teenager here at Woodlawn.  We have planned activities this summer to keep the teens busy, classes that will help bring them closer to our God, and a lot of hot weather ahead for us to work and play in.  Pray 4 Teens!

Finding Your Identity
Last Sunday the youth group started a 13-week series called FYI: Finding Your Identity.  During the summer in class, the teenagers will be challenged to discover and create an identity found in Jesus Christ.  I am excited about this class and ask that you all be praying for these teenagers to Reach, Involve, and Encourage one another while searching for their identity.  Pray 4 Teens!

This past Friday I was spending some time with the Lord in conversation and reflecting on His Word when I came across the second chapter of Proverbs.  Something that is so obvious and understanding, but hardly ever talked about, is the wisdom and knowledge that we receive through the power of God.  I ask that you read and meditate on this chapter and pay special attention to 2:6, for in it we discover that "the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding."  MAY THE LORD BLESS YOUR WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE THIS WEEK!
