This Month

With all that is going on this summer, we wanted to make sure that you were up to date and aware of the schedule.

  • Tonight there will be a brief gathering in the Fellowship Hall after services.
  • The youth will be having a youth devotional tonight after services.
  • Building & Grounds Committee Meeting Wednesday.
  • Passing out VBS flyers on Saturday from 9:00am - 11:30am.
  • VBS starts next Sunday at 6:30pm.
  • There will be no Pacesetters Game Night on Tuesday, June 13th due to VBS.
  • Potluck lunch for next Sunday has also been cancelled.
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays the youth will be meeting for their Purity classes.
  • Sonny will be leaving this month for Africa.
  • Song-N-Supper July 2nd

Marisa Bailey’s grandfather unexpectedly passed away in West Virginia.



Announcements

The Ladies’ class is asking for store-bought cookies for VBS!  You may drop them in the box in the foyer.  Or, you may give your money to Lavona M. or Mary M. for the purchase of Goldfish snacks and punch.

Volunteers needed!  We will be passing out flyers for VBS Saturday.  Please meet at the church at 9:00am and we will finish no later than 11:30am.

The Youth Group is going to be at Bandina Christian Camp from July 23 - July 29.  The director called to say that they are running very low on counselors this year they need everyone they can get; if you are willing to be a counselor please talk to David Taylor.

“The Christian Brotherhood of Manliness,” needs some help from our men.  David will be talking to the guys about purity, and he needs you to give a short, interactive demonstration of a “manly” hobby/activity.  The group will meet at the location of your choosing from 7:00-9:30pm Thursdays.  A meal is not requested.

Once again the youth are in need of host houses for devos this summer!  Devos are Sunday evenings after services, from 6:30-9:30.  If you are willing to host a devo, we ask that you also provide a simple meal for 6-8 youth and 1 hungry youth minister.

We Need Teachers for the Children
Please consider teaching this summer or fall.  We have prepared curriculum available.  We also have a rotating schedule, so you will only be committed for a short time.  The sign up sheet is in the foyer.  Talk to Mike Bailey if you have any questions.
