I am Thankful:

For the wife who says it’s hot dogs tonight, because she’s at home with me and not out with someone else.

For the husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato, because he is at home with me and not out at the bars.

For the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes because it means she is at home, not on the streets.

For the taxes I pay because it means I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing.

For all the complaining I hear about the government because it means we have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking and I have been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating bill because it means I am warm.

For the lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means I can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means I am alive.

THANK YOU NOTES

Dear Woodlawn Family -
We sincerely appreciate the diapers, wipes, thoughts, and prayers that you so generously blessed us with upon the birth of Ava.  Our love and gratitude, also, to the Quilters for the beautiful 'Bear-Attitudes' quilt.  We cherish it, and know that Ava feels the love that went into each stitch.  Emma and Claire are especially thankful for Ms. Carla's (Copher) chicken spaghetti and Ms. Dorothy's (Minor) chocolate pie.  Yum!
God bless you.
Abby, Chad, Emma, Claire, Jax, and Ava Longley

Loree Houghton’s mother, Ruth - cancer

Steve Roland, Shirley’s son, - cancer

Announcements

There will be a Youth Devotional tonight at Bart & Jaylene Crisman’s house at 7pm.

David is experiencing some growth in the youth class.  He would like to inform the congregation about this ministry and ask for help.  He has planned a parent and youth ministry interest meeting to be held briefly after the morning service in the small auditorium.  Your attendance for this concise meeting would be appreciated.

Kin and Chrissy Lau will be here on the 9th of April!!!  Kin will be speaking that day as well!

The Kindergarten - 2nd grade will be having a sleep over this weekend.  They will be meeting at the church at 6:00pm.  Boys at Karen’s and girls at Kathy’s.

Woodlawn is cleaning out a storage room full of three sizes of fixed chair/desks.  The Elders would like to give these desk/chairs to members who are interested before we make them available to others.  These desk/chairs are the older style school desks that have a chair attached.  Talk to Mike Bailey if are interested in these desks.

Needs at the Christian Service Center:
1. Paper sacks with handles
2. Box springs and mattresses
3. Sofas (but not hid-a-beds)
(If you have any of these items to donate, please bring them by to 901 Mesquite Street Mon.-Fri., 8:30-noon or 1-4.)

Medina Children’s Home has asked us to collect NAPKINS.  They have extended our time and the truck will be here the 1st week of April.

The Church of Christ in Colorado City will be having their 38th Annual Ladies’ Night on Monday, April 3rd at 6:00pm followed by a meal.  If you would like to have more information, see the bulletin board in front of the church office.
