D E A T H ~ A WONDERFUL EXPLANATION
A sick man turned to his doctor, as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side."
Very quietly the doctor said, "I don't know."
"You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?" The doctor was holding the handle of the door; on the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.
Turning to the patient, the doctor said, "Did you notice my dog? He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing... I know my Master is there and that is enough."
May there be peace within you today. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

THANK YOU NOTES
Woodlawn Family,
Thank you for the prayers, cards, hugs, and encouraging words during the passing of my sweet niece, JoAnn Terry.
We love each on of you,
Gracie Tharp and Family
Thanks for your kindness during our time of sorrow. The beautiful flowers that you sent demonstrated the love you have for our family. Thanks for always being there for Floy and letting us use the building for the services. You were her Christian Family. Thank you!
Harold and Barbara Durham
To all the Pie Bakers:
Thank you, once again, for going the "extra mile" in helping to make the WACU Pie Sale during Lectureship such a success. I asked for at least 10 pies and you came through with 18. Eight to ten congregations contributed more than 100 pies for the three day event. Women for ACU awards scholarships each year to deserving students (this past year 8 young women and men were benefited) due mainly to the proceeds from the pie sale. You will be happy to know that $5,902.00 was raised this year. All I can say is Thank You and God's richest blessings.
Hazel Fillmon,
for the WACU Pie Committee
