Woodlawn Youth Ministry

Spring Retreat "More Than Conquerors"
This year for our Annual Spring Retreat, the youth group will be heading off to Hidden Falls Ranch, near the Palo Duro Canyon.  Our teenagers will be meeting with the First Street Church of Christ youth group from Dumas, TX.  There we will spend the weekend talking about the power of God and how Christ’s power plays a role in our lives.  I ask that you keep these teenagers in your prayers and thoughts throughout this entire month as they prepare for this fantastic weekend.

NOTE TO TEENAGERS . . .
The cost of the Spring Retreat will be $35.  There are 24 spots, so if you want to go make sure you have your $20 deposit in to me by March 16th.  Also, if you need some assistance and help with money, please do not hesitate to talk to me about your situation.

LTC Update
I thought that everyone would like to know how things are going with LTC.  We are meeting every Monday night to practice, work on, and participate in the projects that the teens have taken upon themselves.  Please keep these teenagers in your prayers as they learn to lead, follow, and develop skills for their Christian walk.  Those participating are Kendra R, Briana R, Caitlyn M, Tyler S, Aaron S, Zelmon W, Dillon P, Wichere S, and Jeremy R.

May God Bless the work that they are doing to further the Kingdom of God.

Because of Christ,
Elijah

Sympathy

Our love and sympathy go to Wylene Norman and family at the passing of her sister, Betty Hughes.  Her funeral was Wednesday in Rosenberg, Texas.

Also our condolences to Fred and Gladine Stirman who are in Dallas through Tuesday to attend the funeral of Gladine’s only uncle, Lucien Jones.

Thanks

We want to express our appreciation for your prayers, cards, the memorial gift and all expressions of kindness at the loss of my sister.  Knowing others care really helps.
Thanks for being our family!

BAPTISM!
Today in Penang, Kin Fatt Lau baptized a young lady named Kelly Khoo.  She is studying for her second year exams, but she took off two days to stay with the Laus and study more before her baptism.  After her exam on March 3, she will leave for her hometown where there is a church where she can worship.  Chrissy wrote that they also "loaded her up with heaps of World Bible course lessons to study."

Congratulations to Betty Kennamer who has a new great-grandson.  Nathaniel Bennett Kennamer was born Feb. 24 weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 19 inches long.  He lives in Michigan and Betty plans to see him in April.
