WOODLAWN YOUTH MINISTRY
- Faith on Fire

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." -- Hebrews 11:1

Have you ever sat down in the middle of your day or in the business of your evenings and thought about your faith: where it came from, how it was developed, and how strong it is now?  This past Wednesday Night in the WY class, we did just that.  The teenagers kicked off a series called Faith On Fire.

Every Wednesday night we are going to study a different aspect of our faith and also reflect on our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We will join together in the classroom every week to discuss how God has blessed our weeks, our days, and our lives.  I would ask that you keep these teenagers in your prayers as they take this little journey of faith.  Some of them are working on strengthening their faith in God and some of them are in the starting stages of this Spiritual Walk with Jesus Christ.  Please keep them in your prayers each week as the youth group grows closer to God.

Pancake Breakfast-
February 8th, we will have our second gathering of the year to fellowship and munch on some pancakes.  I want to encourage everybody reading this right now to come join in on this great time together.  You will be able to support the Youth, sending them to camps and retreats with your donations and get great tasting pancakes.  We will serve from 8:30-9:30 a.m.  May the Lord Bless your week!

Because of Christ,
Elijah

THANKS

Dear Woodlawn Family,
I wanted to send a special thank you to all of you who prayed for the safety and health of our precious blessings, Marcus and Melody.  These beautiful babies are a gift to us from God, and I know that all of the prayers that were said assured the safe arrival.  Words cannot really express the thankfulness I have for each of you for remembering us.  May God bless each of you,
     Russell & Anji Murphree
(daughter of Bill & Darlene Spann)

Woodlawn church,
Thank you very much for the flowers and use of the church.  We truly appreciate your choir and songs.

John and Gregoria Moreno

PRAYER CONCERNS

Otto Waldrip - Hendrick 5713

Alfred Gadberry is home and doing well after having a pacemaker implanted Wed.

Garland Cranfill completed retesting and is again awaiting results.

Mary Middleton is recuperating well after thyroid surgery.

Minnie Hall will undergo more tests Jan. 29.  Doctors are trying to locate source of internal bleeding.

Faye Showalter improves very slowly, but has had to resume taking medication which she had been able to do without.  Coughing and laryngitis still plague her, and she asks for prayers because she wants to be back in worship and fellowship with the church.

Richard Davis remains shut-in at home and has "up & down" days.  He asks for prayers of the church.

We extend condolences to the family of Dorothy Hector who passed away Jan. 18.  Her funeral was held here at the building last Monday.
