Woodlawn Youth Ministry

As I was returning from Winterfest last weekend with nine of our teenagers and Jenny, my fiancée, I thanked God for the chance that had been given us by you, the Woodlawn congregation.  Your support of the youth ministry allowed many of our teenagers the opportunity to experience a youth rally that was God-centered, faith encouraging, and spiritually convicting.  As we traveled back to you, our family, I realized how lucky we were to have such a supportive and Godly church that prayed for us and watched over us.  Our young people are a mission field that God has granted us within our community.  We have been and must continue to be faithful to God’s call to minister to his children, especially those he would call the "least of these."

With the tragic news of the Highland church accident last Sunday we are reminded that our time on earth is not guaranteed and that the time to minister to others in the name of Jesus Christ is now.  Continue to be a people who turn your hearts and minds towards the youth of our church.  They need to be covered in prayers for protection and guidance as they learn to follow the risen Christ.  As we look to the future of the Lord’s body, both here at Woodlawn and around the world, let us be examples of the grace and love of God to the children and teenagers in our midst.

May the Lord bless you this week,
Brad Sullivan

THANK YOU NOTES

To all the members of Woodlawn,
I would like to thank each and everyone of you for the acceptance you are showing me.  I look forward to serving as the secretary here at Woodlawn.  I know I have some big shoes to fill, but hopefully you will continue to show the support you have while I learn all that I can from Barbara.  The appreciation that I feel is overwhelming and I anticipate getting to know all of you better.  I can not explain to you how much of a blessing you have been in my life already.  I am excited to see what the future holds for my family here at Woodlawn!
Cherrelle Womack

I would like to thank the Woodlawn family for all the prayers, cards, phone calls, visits, and every expression of love.  I pray God’s blessing on each of you.
