Worship in Song
Worship is the motivation that equips our Lord’s Church to growth. We share special times with each other when we come together to glorify him with the outpouring of our voices. Each voice is an instrument created to please God as he hears our praise.
We can be identified by our voices, just as our fingerprints are unique. The sound that comes from our inner being is signatured to our identity. God made us this way. We are each special to him as he personally molded us in our mothers' wombs. No one else will ever hear the sounds that come from God’s instrument within us as our Father in Heaven hears our praise. You may feel that you sound this way, but God hears you the way he created you to sound to him. Your praise is heard beautifully in God’s ears as a sweet smelling offering that is raised to the ceilings of Heaven where God is seated on his throne.
We love church singing, because it is beautiful to our ears. It is a privilege to be present in the midst of God’s hearing our praise. We get to be in the concert of God’s being glorified as we can only imagine him seated in the audience with heavenly beings. He is here, today, among us with open ears and patiently awaiting praise from his creation.
We have songbooks in front of us and God’s instruments within us. We have changed hearts that know God is worthy. Open your mouth of praise to God, so he can hear the unique voice created just for him.
You may not know God this way, but you can and he wants to be closer to you. He loves you no matter what you think you are, because he knows what he can make you through Christ Jesus. Respond to God’s majesty and he will receive you.

THANK YOU NOTES
The Steldings saw Thura Piedmont last Sunday at worship in Ft. Worth. She is doing well and sends New Year’s greetings to all. She looked very pretty and still had that sweet smile and perky attitude and said, "I just miss everyone there so much. I'm sorry for not writing, but my fingers don’t work as well as they used to." If you would like to send her a card, her mail goes to her daughter: Gina Waldron, 305 Chantilly Ct., Hurst, TX 76054
I would like to thank everyone for their empty soda cans that went to support The Ronald McDonald House. Last year we were able to donate a total of $102.54.
Thanks, Lisa Williams
A thank you note was received from Christian Homes for the donations given during the Coins for Kidz 2004 campaign. Woodlawn members contributed a total of $219.47.
